Picking winners at the greyhounds is something that requires a bit of thought. You need to have a strategy and stick to it and a good staking plan / money management system. There are so many systems out there that either back them for the win, place, each way, quinellas and trifectas. I find the best results come from backing for the win only.

Looking for races where there is 8 starters is best as the odds are usually more spread out over the field. Look at the top 3 greyhounds that the tipsters are picking Once you have those 3 greyhounds look at their recent form, in particular the last 3 starts. Out of those last 3 starts on each greyhound only consider the greyhound if it has been placed in 2 out of those 3 starts.

If you have more than one greyhound still left after doing this then next I want you to look at the prices. If you have 3 greyhounds that qualify then look if it is possible to back all 3 of them and still make a profit. It would have to be paying over $3 for this to work. If it is not possible to make a profit, I suggest backing the most supported runner of the 3.

If you only have 2 greyhounds left it becomes a lot easier as generally you can get at least even money for the win and any more will just be a profit.

The best one though is when only one greyhound still qualifies and that is when you can make a decent profit. I have used this strategy and aim to win $100 a night. Once I have my $100 I quit for the night. While you will not always win, just like any betting system out there over the long term you can obtain some good profits with this idea.
